Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy is rehabilitation that is performed by a licensed physical therapist in a heated, aquatic environment. The therapeutic temperature and buoyancy of water reduce the amount of stress on the body and allow patients to perform exercises with less pain. The resistance from the water provides a great environment to effectively recover and regain strength. Our therapists utilize light aerobic activities, stretching techniques, and strengthening exercises with patients as part of their aquatic treatment programs.

Aquatic Therapy is currently offered at our Philadelphia – Frankford Ave., Feasterville and Newtown clinics.
